As a Senior Game Designer in our team, you would be responsible for creating, documenting and improving exciting game mechanics. There will be creative work - story, mechanics, art style, as well as technical design - correct and useful documentation, game balancing, monetization, analysis of player behavior and a lot more, so prepare to sink deep into the design space, where there are no limits. Remember, that you would a part of the team, so fluent and effective communication with other team members would be a crucial part of the job. Responsibilities:

  • Game & Asset Leadership — Own the end-to-end design and delivery of educational games and supporting assets, from concept development and prototyping through implementation and QA.
  • Design Direction — Define and guide the creative and technical direction of games, ensuring high-quality visuals and interactions aligned with brand standards, accessibility principles, and educational outcomes.
  • Asset Strategy & Scalability — Oversee asset creation workflows and pipelines, ensuring visuals are optimized for performance across target platforms. Lead the development of reusable systems, libraries, and scalable production frameworks.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration — Partner closely with animators, illustrators, product designers, engineers, and educators to deliver cohesive, production-ready experiences that meet both creative and learning objectives.
  • Creative Quality & Consistency — Review and provide structured feedback on games and assets, maintaining visual polish, usability, and alignment with established design principles.
  • Workflow & Process Improvement — Identify opportunities to enhance pipelines, tools, and collaboration processes to improve efficiency and team productivity.
  • Mentorship & Team Leadership — Support and guide game designers and asset creators through feedback, direction, and professional development. Foster a positive, collaborative, and growth-oriented team culture.
  • Stakeholder Alignment — Communicate roadmaps, milestones, risks, and resource needs clearly to stakeholders and leadership, ensuring alignment on priorities and delivery timelines.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in game production.
  • Proven track record of shipping games or interactive educational products on web and/or mobile platforms.
  • Strong understanding of UX and accessibility principles in games.
  • Deep knowledge of 2D asset pipelines, file optimization, and lightweight game development workflows.
  • Proficiency in asset creation and illustration tools (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or equivalent).
  • Experience working with 2D game engines such as Unity, Godot, or similar platforms.
  • Experience mentoring or managing designers and artists.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Familiarity with production management tools such as Jira, Trello, or similar systems.
  • At least Upper-Intermediate level of English

Nice to have:

  • Experience building scalable asset libraries or modular design systems for games.
  • Background in educational products, serious games, or learning technologies.
  • Experience working in cross-functional product environments with distributed teams.
