This is a volunteer hybrid role based in Brisbane, QLD, with flexibility for some remote work. The Volunteer WordPress Developer will be responsible for both front-end and back-end web development tasks, ensuring responsive web design and optimal user experiences. Daily tasks include designing and maintaining the organization's WordPress website, troubleshooting issues, improving site functionality, collaborating on design requirements, and implementing innovative solutions to enhance the site's performance and sustainability focus.
- Proficiency in Back-End Web Development and Front-End Development
- Expertise in Responsive Web Design and Web Design
- Demonstrated experience with WordPress and general Web Development
- Ability to collaborate effectively with a distributed team
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Good understanding of sustainability concepts and eagerness to contribute to a cause-driven organization
- Knowledge of SEO principles and web optimization is a plus
- A degree or relevant certifications in Computer Science, Web Development, or related field is beneficial
