Job Description
- Lead the development and upkeep of our Customer Data Ecosystem.
- By connecting Data Analytics with key business areas, you will drive data-driven solutions and reshape how we engage with customers.
- Full time permanent role located in Collingwood, Melbourne.
As the Customer Data Product Lead, you play a crucial role in our data-driven transformation. Your primary focus is on maximizing the potential of our customer data.
In today's data-driven business landscape, you're the expert who knows our data ecosystem inside out. You're not just knowledgeable about its capabilities, but also well-aware of its limitations and potential risks. Your expertise covers data management, including ETL processes and SQL proficiency.
You are an experienced product owner/manager in customer data technology and can lead our squads to deliver optimal solutions.
Additionally, you have a deep understanding of our data architecture, including hierarchies and relationships.
Your Key Accountabilities Will Include
- Acting as both a leader and a key individual contributor within both the Customer / Commercial team and the Data Warehouse / Data Platforms team, you will lead the development of frameworks for data architecture
- Working as an SME to the broader Customer / Commercial business, responsible managing critical relationships with key stakeholders in the business, data and analytics and broader technology teams, and with key vendors in the customer and data space.
- Responsible for the portfolio management and prioritisation for the BAU Customer and Commercial data squads ensuring it reflects business value, urgency, and strategic alignment.
- Responsible for development and delivery of our customer data strategy.
- Acts as both a leader and an individual contributor in formal and informal cross-functional teams ensuring an inclusive and supported workplace culture.
- Acts as a subject matter expert and leads others in use of best practice around customer data management and use within a modern data platform.
- Champions and leads the adoption of creative ways to leverage data assets and guides others in effective ways to deliver outcomes to Jetstar’s most high-value customer data initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to standardise, simplify and optimise data collection, storage, transformation and sharing standards.
- Excellent stakeholder management, influence, negotiation and prioritisation skills.
- Ability to think strategically and negotiate multiple high value initiatives with limited time and resources.
- Strong experience delivering solutions that leverage large volumes of data in complex organisations with direct stakeholder engagement.
- Minimum 3 years hands-on experience working with customer data
- Minimum 2 years Hands-on experience using DWH, Data LakeHouse or similar technology to manage significant data assets for an organisation.
- Experience influencing cross-functional teams and setting and managing expectations.
- Tertiary degree (or equivalent experience) in an analytical discipline (e.g. statistics, mathematics, physics, computer science, engineering) is preferred.
- Experience with CDP (customer data platform) tools and understanding of composable Martech solutions such as Hightouch and Braze are highly advantageous.
- Experience working with solutions that leverage snowflake or similar cloud data platforms.
- Understanding of marketing campaign analytics, CRM, CDP, Disposition Data, Customer 360, Customer Lifetime Value etc.
- Conceptual understanding of Data Lakes, ETL, ELT etc.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to think creatively and ‘outside of the box’
- Proficient in SQL for data querying and manipulation is preferred
