The role of Project Manager has become available within the Engineering Team in the Critical Power (UPS) projects division at Socomec Australia.

The Core Responsibilities Of The Project Manager Role Are

  • Manage Uninterruptable Power Supply UPS project works, and ensure projects are delivered and commissioned to agreed scope, time, cost and quality to meet the client's expectations.
  • Manage customer relationships and expectations through timely responses to queries and requests throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Manage project specific documentation including commissioning and site acceptance test SAT scope of works, project SWMS and project schedules.
  • Manage project technical documentation including detailed drawings, single line diagrams, specifications, technical guides and installation manuals while managing approval process with clients.
  • Attend regular site visits, review site conditions to ensure smooth product delivery, installation and testing and commissioning.
  • Manage third party contractors and suppliers relationships, ensure competitive pricing is obtained with best possible outcome.
  • Manage forecasting project delivery and invoicing with sales administration and forecasting commissioning and SAT dates and booking service technicians with services team and third party contractors.

Key Requirements

  • A trade qualification or Bachelor’s degree in an electrical and electronics related field.
  • 5 years of experience in project management and delivery.
  • Experience in the electrical projects industry and knowledge of electrical specifications, drawings, single line diagrams.
  • Ideally experience in uninterruptable power supplies UPS and battery systems is preferred.
  • Experience in managing suppliers and external stakeholders while building and maintaining strong relationships.
  • Excellent communication, time management and problem solving skills.
  • Entrepreneurial approach and ambition to grow own career and engineering function.
  • Occasional interstate travel based on business needs and ongoing projects.
