🚀 Role Overview

We are looking for a Junior Full Stack Developer to join a project for a European Union public institution.

The role involves contributing to modern, high-quality IT systems supporting large-scale digital platforms within a multicultural and international environment. The assignment may evolve over time depending on project and service needs.

🛠 Responsibilities

  • Development of front-end website architecture.
  • Design of user interactions on web pages.
  • Development of back-end website applications.
  • Implement core business logic.
  • Creation of servers and databases for functionality.
  • Understanding and implementation of security and data protection.
  • Cross-platform optimisation.
  • Design responsive applications.
  • Design and develop APIs.
  • Participating in the design and creation of scalable software.
  • Taking lead on projects, as needed.
  • Maintenance of code integrity and organisation.
  • Writing clean, functional code on the front- and backend.
  • Compile and analyse data, processes, and codes to troubleshoot problems and identify areas for improvement.
  • Testing and fixing bugs or other coding issues.
  • Meet both technical and consumer needs.
  • Write technical documentation.

🎓 Education

  • Level of education corresponding to Level 6 of the European Qualification Framework (typically a Bachelor’s degree of minimum 3 years).
  • Degree must be IT-related.

💻 Required Knowledge

  • Proficiency with back-end languages and frameworks such as Java, Spring Boot and Hibernate.
  • Excellent knowledge of J2EE.
  • Excellent knowledge of BPMN.
  • Excellent knowledge of microservices architecture.
  • Familiarity with database technology such as Oracle and MongoDB.
  • Experienced with standards/APIs: XSD and SOAP, JSON, JSON Schema.
  • Proficiency with fundamental front-end languages such as JavaScript, HTML and CSS.
  • Excellent knowledge of JavaScript frameworks and libraries such as Angular and Bootstrap.
  • Experienced with Docker, Python, Bash, Elasticsearch, GIT and JIRA.
  • Good knowledge of Service Oriented Architecture.
