The Role:
As the System Administrator - Cloud & IT Operations, you’ll play a key role in maintaining and supporting our AWS cloud infrastructure and internal IT systems. You’ll ensure that our cloud services and SaaS platform are reliable, secure and high-performing, while also managing day-to-day IT operations for our distributed teams.
Cloud & IT Operations Responsibilities:
- Maintain monitoring, logging, tracing systems for platform health and performance, including alarms and alerts.
- Keeping our multi-tenant SaaS environment running smoothly, including scaling and uptime.
- Maintain incident and disaster recovery mechanisms, backups and automations.
- Maintaining security best practices across all IT infrastructure.
- Overseeing IT systems, hardware, and infrastructure for internal operations and client integrations.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting to the team, ensuring all users have reliable and efficient systems.
- Coordinating client system integrations with our platform, including onboarding and ongoing support.
- Developing and enforcing IT policies to maintain security and compliance.
- Managing remote-user infrastructure and IT support for distributed teams.
- Administering third-party services and company IT equipment.
- Handling employee onboarding/offboarding processes and IT subscriptions.
- Evaluating emerging tech and recommending solutions to improve efficiency.
- 3+ years of experience as a Systems Administrator, supporting internal IT infrastructure and distributed teams.
- Knowledge of IT systems, hardware, networks, and user support workflows.
- 2+ years of experience in a cloud infrastructure role, with a strong focus on AWS.
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., Pulumi or similar).
- Strong understanding of security best practices for cloud infrastructure, including securing networks, data encryption, and managing access controls.
- Knowledge of metrics, logging, and tracing tools (e.g., CloudWatch, Prometheus, ELK Stack).
- Familiarity with deploying and managing multi-tenant SaaS environments.
- Understanding of system architecture, automation, and best practices in cloud infrastructure.
- Experience working with CI/CD (e.g. GitLab) pipelines and automated deployments.
- Fluency in English.
- Experience with the .NET ecosystem and applications running in a .NET environment.
- Experience with managing databases (MongoDB, PostgreSQL, event-sourcing)
- Experience in a startup environment or scaling cloud infrastructure for fast-growing applications.
