About the Role

You'll be working with our development team to build Happeo's proprietary technology for intranet information management. The platform helps organizations discover information quickly, identify gaps or outdated content, and streamline creation and sharing workflows. We're launching into Open Beta with some exciting challenges around content intelligence and search.

Our Stack

React/React Native frontends, Python/Node.js/Java backends, running on GCP (App Engine, Cloud Run, Kubernetes, Cloud SQL, Firestore, VertexAI).

What You'll Do

Ship AI solutions from zero to production with minimal oversight. You'll have significant autonomy to define technical approaches, make architectural decisions, and drive product direction. This isn't a role where you'll be given detailed specs – you'll need to form opinions about what to build, how to build it, and why it matters.

Your Typical Day

• Own entire features from ideation to production deployment
• Make technical decisions independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams
• Identify product opportunities that others might miss and champion them
• Optimize performance and scalability based on your assessment of priorities
• Stay current with AI/ML developments and decide which ones are worth adopting

What We're Looking For

• Experience in developing production grade AI agents, MCP servers, and tooling for agents
• A deep understanding of using AI technology, especially LLMs/NLP to solve practical problemsBackend experience (Node.js or Python preferred)
• Strong proficiency in AI/ML libraries
• RAG, vector databases, graph databases
• Cloud platform experience (preferably GCP)
• Self-directed problem solver who thrives in unstructured environments
• Comfortable making decisions with incomplete information and defending your choices
• Product sense: you care about building things users actually want

Nice-to-have

• Docker/Kubernetes
• Java backend experience
• Data engineering and ETL pipelines
• DevOps/CICD experience (MLOps/LLMOps)

Location

This role is based in Helsinki, Finland. The working mode is Hybrid. If needed, we’ll support you with relocation and Visa application. .
