At ALTEN Finland, we are looking for a Software Test Automation Engineer to strengthen our team in Jyväskylä. This position is ideal for you if you enjoy practical testing work, test automation, and hands-on problem-solving across diverse devices and accessories. You will work in a hybrid mode (approx. 3 days/week on-site) and collaborate closely with an international engineering environment.

Main responsibilities:

• Execute manual testing across various device/accessory combinations while progressively implementing automation.
• Design test plans and manual test cases, identifying scenarios suitable for automation.
• Perform hands-on testing for diverse hardware setups and report compatibility findings.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align testing strategies and share automation knowledge.
• Participate in the Accessory & Device Team as a Test Engineer (Manual & Automation).
• Plan and implement testing activities, handling the complexity of the device-accessory matrix.
• Transition manual test cases into automated scripts using Python and Robot Framework.

We expect you to have:

• Experience in test automation development with Python and Robot Framework
• Practical experience in manual testing of hardware or device–accessory combinations
• Familiarity with Linux (Ubuntu), Windows, Mac OS, and Android environments
• Experience with Git, Jenkins, and/or GitLab CI/CD
• Understanding of test management tools such as Jira, Xray, and Confluence
• Ability to design test plans and transition manual tests into maintainable automated scripts
• Strong communication skills in English and Finnish
• Proactive, self-driven working style and the ability to work independently
