Ingenio is partnering with a deep-tech company operating at the intersection of AI, molecular modelling, quantum physics, and HPC.
They need a backend engineer who understands systems — not just syntax.
What You’ll Own
- A self-hosted PostgreSQL environment
- Database optimisation for long-running, parallel HPC workloads
- Backup, recovery, and data integrity
- Schema design, access controls, permissions
- Python-based ETL pipelines
- Monitoring and observability across the stack
You’ll work directly with R&D and senior technical leadership.
This is high-trust, high-impact work.
Non-Negotiables:
- 3+ years in serious database engineering
- Strong PostgreSQL (self-hosted)
- Solid Linux background
- Containers (Docker or Podman)
- Strong Python fundamentals
- Experience with monitoring tools
Nice to Have:
- ETL orchestration tools (Prefect, Dagster, Airflow)
- Parallel computing frameworks or schedulers (OpenMP, MPI, SLURM)

Location: South Dublin (Onsite 4 days per week)
