Back End Engineer

About the Role

We are looking for two Senior Backend Engineers to join a high‑level technical team and contribute to the development of robust, scalable, and secure backend services. You will work with modern Java technologies, cloud‑ready architectures, and containerized environments to deliver enterprise‑grade applications.

In this role, you will have a direct impact on the design, performance and reliability of mission‑critical systems, working closely with technical leads, analysts, and testers in a collaborative Agile environment.

Your Responsibilities

Backend Development

• Design, develop, maintain and test web portals, backend applications, shared components and libraries.
• Build high‑quality features using Java (17+), Spring Framework 6.x, Spring Boot 3.x, and JPA/Hibernate.
• Implement REST/SOAP services and event‑driven communication (Kafka).

Collaboration & Requirements

• Work closely with team leads, tech leads, business analysts, developers and QA engineers.
• Ensure requirements are clearly understood, consistent and aligned across the team.

Deployment & Cloud Operations

• Deploy applications both on‑premise and in cloud‑based containerized environments.
• Monitor services, troubleshoot issues and optimize performance.

Mandatory Requirements

• University degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of professional experience in backend development.
• Proven expertise with:
• Java 17+ (21 is a strong plus)
• Spring Framework 6.x+ & Spring Boot 3.x+
• JPA / Hibernate
• REST / SOAP APIs
• Kafka event streaming
• JUnit / TestNG, Mockito (or similar)
• DevOps tools: Maven, Git, CI/CD (preferably Azure DevOps), Docker
• Cloud (preferably Azure)
• OIDC / OAuth authentication & authorization

Strong Plus Skills

• Integration & microservices experience (Apache Camel preferred; Spring Integration also valued).
• Full‑stack skills with JavaScript frameworks (React preferred).
• Experience with workflow engines (e.g., Temporal).
