About This Role

Gartner Analysts help clients in different industries all around the world address their greatest challenges and continue to innovate through the delivery of best practice research and insights. This role will work with security technical professionals (e.g., security architects, security engineers, security operations managers) to implement and execute best practices.

What You’ll Do

As a Gartner analyst, you will be required to be both a thought leader and partner - share frame-breaking ideas but also provide actionable guidance.

The expectations of your Gartner peers and clients are the following:

  • Present best practices and emerging trends to security technical professionals in 1:1 virtual meetings and Conferences
  • Conduct research and analysis in specific areas of expertise targeting client’s key
  • Write high quality, clear, actionable, advisory research documents.
  • Remain ahead of the curve on developments and issues within these specified areas as well as applicable adjacent areas.
  • Maintain the Gartner’s industry leadership reputation by responding to press inquiries.
  • Work with the wider sales organization and deliver outstanding sales support in order to retain and grow the business.

What You’ll Need

It helps to be obsessed with your topic! Gartner analysts are correctly viewed as THE experts. This means you need to know your technologies, architectures, markets, vendors, trends, management practices, etc. and be able to see the forest and the trees. Most Gartner analysts have many years of experience and enjoy solving puzzles.

  • Technical subject matter expertise in Endpoint Security specifically with a focus on the following:
    • Endpoint protection platforms (EPP) and endpoint detection and response (EDR)
    • Ransomware prevention, detection and response
    • OS Security
    • Malware protection
    • Solid knowledge of adjacent technologies to keep endpoints secure, including Secure Web Gateways (SWG), Security Service Edge (SSE), and email security.
    • Knowledge of the global landscape, and the competitive interplay between incumbents, emerging providers, disruptors, and outsourcers.
    • Analytical skills, applying conceptual models, recognizing patterns while drawing and defending conclusions.
    • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a security architecture/engineering/operations or technology related role.
    • Bachelor's or equivalent experience, master’s degree preferred.
    • Ability to conduct occasional travel, regionally and globally.
