Project Manager – Electronic Security Systems

A leading security technology integrator is seeking a project manager to manage and deliver electronic security installation projects across customer sites in Amsterdam and the wider region. This role offers autonomy, responsibility, and the opportunity to lead complex projects while working closely with clients, engineers, and contractors.
You will take full ownership of installations from initial assignment through to final handover, ensuring quality, compliance, and successful project delivery.
Responsibilities
- Take full responsibility for assigned installation projects from planning to handover
- Review contract documents, specifications, drawings, and BOQs to understand project scope
- Confirm system and equipment suitability with internal teams and customers
- Plan programmes of work, manage schedules, and communicate changes to stakeholders
- Maintain project profitability and escalate concerns to senior management
- Deliver consistent project reporting and participate in regular project review meetings
- Keep customers informed of progress, key milestones, and any variations
- Coordinate customer training and ensure commissioning and completion certificates are finalised
- Provide accurate documentation for handover, invoicing, and project closeout
- Ensure compliance with ISO9001, Health & Safety, NACOSS procedures, GDPR, ISO27001 and local regulations
- Ensure engineers and subcontractors adhere to the same compliance requirements
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years’ project management experience delivering installation projects of similar scale
- Strong working knowledge of electronic security systems (CCTV, access control, intruder)
- Awareness of NEC3/4, JCT or similar contract frameworks
- Ability to produce and interpret programmes of work using MS Project or equivalent
- Proficient with Microsoft 365, Visio, and project/job costing systems
- Excellent communication skills, with confidence in engaging clients, engineers, and contractors
- Strong planning, organisation, and time‑management abilities
