Backend Developer

Job Overview

We are looking for a Backend Developer (.NET) to join our team in Portugal and contribute to the development of microservices and business-critical applications within the .NET ecosystem.

You will be responsible for designing and maintaining scalable APIs, implementing business logic, and contributing to high-performance, high-availability systems in an enterprise environment.

This role requires strong technical expertise in Microsoft technologies, autonomy, ownership, and the ability to work in a collaborative, remote-first environment.

What you’ll be doing:

• Developing and maintaining microservices using .NET Core
• Implementing and evolving business logic in enterprise-grade applications
• Designing and maintaining Web APIs
• Working with Entity Framework and SQL Server
• Contributing to microservices-based architectures
• Ensuring high code quality, performance, and scalability
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment
• Participating in CI/CD processes using Azure DevOps or similar tools

What we’re looking for:

• +6 years of experience in software development focused on Microsoft technologies
• Strong expertise in .NET Core and Web API
• Solid experience with Entity Framework
• Strong knowledge of SQL Server
• Experience working with microservices architectures
• Experience with Azure DevOps or similar CI/CD tools
• Background in developing high-criticality enterprise web applications
• Professional working proficiency in English
• Spanish (native level is a plus)
• Strong problem-solving mindset and ownership attitude

Nice to have:

• Experience in financial services or regulated environments
• Knowledge of cloud environments (Azure preferred)
• Experience with distributed systems and performance optimization
