Virtual Reality

Work description

Monitoring and implementation of R&D projects and knowledge enhancement, preparation of R&D project applications, team management and guidance of research fellows, scientific production oriented towards international journals and conferences, intervention in scientific and professional communities, as well as participation in scientific and technological dissemination initiatives, particularly in the area of virtual reality and related fields.

Academic Qualifications

• Computer Science or a related scientific field and have a scientific and professional curriculum vitae that demonstrates a profile suitable for the activity to be carried out are eligible to apply for the competition.

Minimum profile required

• PhD in Computer Science.
• Proven experience with the Unity game engine.
• Author/Co-author of at least 5 immersive virtual reality applications.
• Proficiency in Portuguese (level C2).
• Recognition of academic degree in Portugal.
• Author or co-author of at least 5 articles in SCOPUS-indexed journals in the last 5 years and H-index of at least 5 (SCOPUS database).

Preference factors

• Work experience (as a fellow or researcher) in R&D laboratories.
• Participation in research projects in the field of Virtual Reality.
• Experience in developing immersive multisensory Virtual Reality applications.
• Scientific publications in the field of virtual reality.

Salary Level

In accordance with article 15 of the RJEC and article 2 of Regulatory Decree no. 11-A/2017, of 29 December, the gross monthly base remuneration to be awarded is based on remuneration level 1 of the Investigador Júnior category of the Public Scientific Research Career Statute, with INESC TEC applying its own remuneration table for R&D doctoral employees, with a value of €2404.92 for the equivalent category.
