Role: .Net Developer
Contract Length: 12 months
Start Date: ASAP
Work Model: Hybrid (1–2 days on-site per week; Thursday every other week)

Role Overview
The Developer will be responsible for application packaging, integration, and deployment to ensure applications are delivered according to user requirements and industry best practices. The role requires collaboration with multiple internal teams and vendors to ensure applications function reliably and securely. This position also includes backfill responsibilities for daily operations while other team members support migration and integration initiatives.
The team consists of seven members, operating with a highly collaborative and high‑output culture. The role includes an approximate 50/50 split between support and development tasks.
Key Responsibilities
Business Delivery & Operational Effectiveness
- Package and integrate applications following standardized processes, technical standards, and best practices.
- Work closely with Desktop Engineering to define application packaging parameters aligned with business and security requirements.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts and end users to ensure complete testing before production deployment.
- Validate security controls in new software, upgrades, and fixes to maintain proper security posture.
- Support application rationalization processes in partnership with Release Management.
Change & Innovation
- Build and maintain strong working relationships across Engineering, QA, LOB teams, and Release Management.
- Ensure clear communication of issues, impacts, and timelines.
- Provide occasional support to additional organizations using the shared network (e.g., troubleshooting connectivity issues).
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
- Advising: Recommend technology solutions aligned with user and business needs.
- Coordinating: Participate in meetings with Engineering, Release Management, project teams, SMEs, and end users to resolve technical issues efficiently.
Required Qualifications
Education
- Degree or diploma in Computer Science or a related field.
Must‑Have Technical Skills
- Strong expertise in .NET
- 4–6 years of relevant experience
- experience with Mainframe COBOL (role is 90% mainframe), JCL, DB2, CICS
- Strong SQL knowledge
- Experience with Windows XP and Windows 11
- Experience with Microsoft SCCM, Active Directory, and Group Policy Objects
- Solid scripting capabilities
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience with APIs, JSON, and cloud technologies
- Knowledge of Trade Finance or experience in financial institutions
- High‑level understanding of firewalls and networking concepts

- Excellent communication and facilitation skills
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and change‑management abilities
- Ability to interpret user requirements and estimate work effort
- Strong business acumen
