Title: Risk Platform .NET Developer (Hybrid, London)
Location: London (3 days per week onsite)
Salary: £104,000 base
Employment Type: Permanent
Hybrid: 3 days in office / 2 days remote
The Opportunity:
We are working with a Tier-1 financial institution to hire a Risk Platform .NET Developer.
This is a critical engineering role, working directly with traders and risk stakeholders, acting as a technical right-hand to senior engineers on a low-latency, performance-critical platform.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Building and enhancing high-performance risk platform services using C# / .NET
- Designing efficient data structures and algorithms for real-time trading use cases
- Integrating with REST and WCF web services
- Writing and optimising MS SQL queries for low-latency systems
- Working closely with trading and risk teams in a front-office environment
- Taking ownership of delivery with a methodical, detail-driven approach
What We’re Looking For:
Essential:
- 4–8 years’ experience as a .NET / C# developer
- Strong knowledge of .NET, algorithms, and data structures
- Experience integrating with REST / WCF services
- Solid MS SQL experience with query optimisation
- Financial services experience (investment bank, trading, risk, market data)
- STEM degree (Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, etc.)
- Comfortable working in low-latency, performance-sensitive systems
- Willing to work 3 days per week onsite in London
Highly Valued:
- Exposure to trading or risk platforms
- Strong understanding of algorithmic complexity
- Clear, structured problem-solving mindset
