Job Purpose
To identify opportunities for business growth and develop effective marketing strategies to meet and exceed revenue targets in merchant retention and new sales acquisition. The role focuses on expanding the merchant portfolio, building strategic partnerships, and increasing revenue, profitability, and market share.
Job Description
- Achieve assigned sales and revenue targets.
- Manage and maintain the assigned merchant portfolio.
- Prevent merchant attrition through active relationship management and engagement.
- Increase wallet share of shared merchants and maintain exclusivity where possible to position the organization as the acquirer of choice.
- Promote and sell Value-Added Services (VAS) such as DCC, E-commerce solutions, setup charges, and other new products to meet assigned targets.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities through lead generation and networking.
- Build and sustain strong relationships with existing and potential merchants.
- Develop strategic partnerships to enhance business growth.
- Maintain strong knowledge of competitors and market intelligence.
- Complete all required documentation in line with standard operating procedures, including KYC renewals.
- Identify, mitigate, and manage risks and opportunities to ensure overall account profitability.
- Perform any additional responsibilities assigned by the unit from time to time.
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in a relevant field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in Merchant Acquiring.
- Strong knowledge of merchant acquiring sales and retention strategies.
- Good understanding of UAE banking practices, regulations, risk, and compliance requirements.
- Knowledge of card schemes such as VISA, MasterCard, AMEX, and CUP in relation to acquiring business.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
- Valid UAE driving license.
