Data Analyst
Location: Atlanta, GA, Onsite 5 days a week
Contract Duration: March 4, 2026 – January 31, 2027
Type: Contract
Pay range: $35-42hr
We are seeking a highly skilled Data Analyst to help our client accelerate the development, optimization, and operationalization of analytics solutions that support strategic leaders across their Agile delivery ecosystem. The ideal contractor will bring strong technical expertise in SQL, dashboarding, Agile methodologies, and a strong preference for experience with Atlassian Analytics.
This role is critical in shaping and advancing agile methodologies, improving data quality, and enabling high impact reporting and decision-making. The contractor will deliver hands-on guidance, strategic insights, and structured processes to ensure timely and accurate analytics outputs.
Key Responsibilities
Project Intake & Process Optimization
- Design and implement a formal intake form and intake process for data hardening, outlier reporting, and AI-related projects.
- Develop streamlined processes for data validation, reporting, and project intake to ensure accuracy and consistency.
Stakeholder & Vendor Management
- Coordinate alignment and communication between vendor partners and internal business teams to advance data hardening initiatives.
- Support enterprise-wide collaboration between Agile teams, Strategic Leadership, and Analytics stakeholders.
Platform & Tooling Enablement
- Contribute to the evaluation and selection of a centralized project management platform to support a unified, single-entry intake system.
- Utilize Agile tools (Atlassian suite, Microsoft apps) and apply Lean/Scrum methodologies to optimize workflows.
Project Execution
- Lead key initiatives, including the Data Hardening Strategy and transition to a unified project management ecosystem.
- Provide ongoing reporting, insights, and analytics support to cross-functional teams.
Required Skills & Experience
Project & Methodology Expertise
- Proven experience in Project Planning, Scheduling, and Project Methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Lean, Scrum).
Technical Data Skills
- Strong proficiency in SQL and Google BigQuery (GBQ) for data validation and accuracy checks.
- Experience with Python for data processing and automation tasks.
Data Governance & Quality
- Deep understanding of Data Governance principles and frameworks.
- Demonstrated ability to ensure accuracy and integrity of data across complex projects.
Collaboration & Tooling
- Expertise in project management tools such as Smartsheet, Jira, or Asana.
- Experience using GitHub for version control and collaborative development.
- Dashboarding experience; Atlassian Analytics strongly preferred.
