QA Engineer | Remote | £55,000 - £70,000
We're working with an award-winning Series A startup breaking down accessibility barriers in the transport sector on this exciting opportunity.
As the final gatekeeper for a high-impact B2B SaaS platform, you will take full ownership of the manual testing lifecycle across global web and mobile applications. You’ll be working within a modern tech stack featuring Ruby on Rails, Vue.js, Swift, and Kotlin, ensuring millions of users can navigate the world with dignity and safety.
The Role
• Lead the end-to-end manual testing lifecycle for complex web and mobile applications, ensuring data syncs perfectly between Ruby on Rails backends and native devices.
• Act as the strategic partner for Engineering, conducting rigorous smoke tests and regression passes to guarantee high-confidence releases.
• Own and scale the TestRail repository, bringing structure and clarity to the quality assurance process.
• Embed yourself in the design phase to strengthen acceptance criteria and influence product quality before a single line of code is written.
• Navigate technical challenges including offline mode constraints, location services, and complex user permissions.
What You'll Need
• Proven experience in Manual QA for both Web and Mobile platforms, with a track record of testing SaaS or high-traffic applications.
• Technical proficiency navigating codebases in Ruby on Rails and Vue.js to understand system architecture.
• Deep expertise in native mobile testing for iOS (Swift) and Android (Kotlin), specifically focusing on location-based services.
• Mastery of QA tooling including TestRail for test case management and Jira for defect tracking and workflow management.
• A process-driven mindset with the autonomy to decide when to perform manual passes versus delegating to SDETs for automation.
What's On Offer
• Competitive salary of £55,000 - £70,000 (DOE).
• Fully remote working environment with the flexibility to manage your own schedule.
• Comprehensive benefits package including Private Healthcare and the chance to work on a purpose-led product with global social impact.
