We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join an important U.S.-based client. This is a fully remote position working on a high-impact platform modernization initiative.

About the Project

Acceleration of platform alignment and deployment repeatability to support large, complex customer engagements and regulated environments. The focus is on improving release velocity, architectural consistency, and time-to-market.

What You’ll Do

• Build and maintain backend services using Golang and TypeScript (Node.js)
• Migrate services from EC2 to Dockerized deployments on EKS
• Create and update Dockerfiles, Kubernetes manifests (or Helm charts), and service configurations
• Implement unit and integration tests
• Support validation in lab and staging environments
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines using Harness (or similar tools)
• Work within a SCRUM environment using Jira
• Participate in PR-based code reviews.

Must-Have Requirements

• 3+ years of backend engineering experience
• 2+ years of experience with Golang
• 2+ years of experience with TypeScript / Node.js
• Experience building and consuming REST APIs
• Experience working with databases
• Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes (EKS preferred)
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Harness or similar)
• Conversational English (written and verbal) – required
• (You will be working directly with a U.S. team.)

Nice to Have (Strongly Preferred)

• AWS experience
• Experience with observability (logging, metrics, tracing)
• Production rollout and rollback experience.
