System Engineer/Release Engineer

Due to our continued growth, we are now recruiting for a System Engineer/Release Engineer to be based at our clients site in Gothenburg.

The team:

The team is responsible for the electronic control system for the vessel and vehicle throughout all the phases in the product lifecycle. Our main responsibility is to develop and secure functions and behavior on complete vessel/vehicle level but also how we should offer new and different functions and features to our customers.

The team creates and contributes to roadmaps for current and new products and solutions and is responsible for requirement, development, documentation, verification and validation of the system in product projects and maintenance phase as well as taking care of feedback from the market. A premium brand as Volvo Penta develops premium high-end products for our customers.

Responsibilities:

• As a System Engineer you set requirements on both feature and functional level and align the technical solution with product planning and software developers. (40%)
• As a Release Engineer you manage release and structure work for HW and SW for ongoing projects, future projects, and maintenance. (30%)
• As a PM you support/drive/lead smaller projects/deliveries where main focus is within Motion Control domain. (30%)

A very important task for you as a System Engineer is to understand the logical functions and the needed interfaces within our own system but also to other systems. This means that you will be responsible for the complete development from specification to test and implementation of new functions and solutions.

Requirements:

• We are looking for someone to join our team and we believe you are driven, innovative and you have a passion for problem solving.
• We also think you are open-minded and enjoy teamwork but at the same time you are able to work independently and drive development on your own.
• You can find and compile information/knowledge in a complex technical and structural environment to be able to drive, deliver and add value.
• You most likely have a genuine interest in the product domain of marine and industrial products and applications.
• The proposed split between the different roles is visualized below but will vary over time.
• You have experience from function and software development, verification, validation and user centric development.
• You are a positive and curious person that enjoy collaboration with many different colleges to find the needed answers.
• Since we sometimes face mechanical/physical challenges when we work with our products, it would be beneficial that you like “mechanical” problem solving i.e., “get your hands dirty” to solve the task.
