Department: HR – GBS HR Operations
The Role
The HR Coordinator provides dedicated administrative and operational support to the HR Business Services client groups and plays a key role within the wider GBS HR Operations team. Working closely with HR Business Partners and other HR specialists, the role delivers day‑to‑day HR coordination across areas such as Learning & Development, Recruitment, HR systems, employee life‑cycle processes and reporting.

- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships confidently with staff, managers and partners
- Proactive approach with the ability to suggest improvements to processes and procedures
- Strong judgement, reasoning skills, and awareness of confidentiality requirements
- Team‑oriented, inclusive and consultative, with willingness to travel to London when required
- Strong IT skills, particularly in Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Human Resources experience is desirable but not essential
- Graduate or graduate‑calibre with office experience
- Provide support to local HR teams, including producing employee letters, contract amendments, updating HR systems and managing the HR inbox
- Respond to ad hoc HR queries and escalate as appropriate
- Support HR Business Partners with project work such as salary reviews, moderation scheduling, reporting, research, reference checks and deadline management (e.g., probation periods)
- Liaise regularly with the wider HR department to ensure consistency and accuracy in reporting
- Manage data updates and maintenance in Workday
- Work with HR & Resourcing Coordinators to administer the new joiner process, including induction facilitation and preparing all new‑starter documentation
- Manage the leaver process, including paperwork, payroll notifications and collection/collation of exit interview data
- Direct staff queries to the correct departments, escalating and prioritising as necessary
- Support the Benefits team with administrative tasks
- Opportunity to be part of a large, collaborative HR function with over 100 specialists
- Exposure to multiple HR disciplines including L&D, Recruitment, HR Operations, Reward and Systems
- Hands‑on involvement in full employee lifecycle processes, with scope for development into broader HR work
