About the project:

We are looking for a Risk Payment Operations Manager to manage payment-related risk operations, including fraud monitoring, chargeback/dispute handling, and transaction investigations. The role focuses on minimizing financial losses, ensuring timely and accurate case processing, and improving operational controls and workflows across the payment risk lifecycle.



You will be doing:

  • Oversee payment risk operations across all transaction flows (fraud monitoring, investigations, disputes, chargebacks)
  • Handle chargeback and dispute cases end-to-end, including evidence preparation, representment, and deadline control
  • Perform transaction risk checks, analyze suspicious patterns, and support operational response to fraud activity
  • Coordinate communication with payment providers, acquiring partners, and banks on disputes, investigations, and escalations
  • Maintain accurate case tracking, documentation, and internal reporting on chargebacks, fraud cases, and loss metrics
  • Identify recurring fraud and dispute drivers, investigate root causes, and propose improvements to reduce chargeback and fraud rates
  • Work closely with Fraud/Risk, KYC/Compliance, Customer Support, and Development teams to improve risk controls and operational efficiency



Your expertise to meet the requirement:

  • 1+ year of experience in Payments Operations, Chargeback/Disputes, Risk Operations, or a similar role
  • Understanding of chargeback/dispute processes and common dispute reasons (fraud, service-related disputes)
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple cases with strict deadlines
  • Ability to work with sensitive data and follow internal policies and procedures



Nice to have

  • Experience working with PSPs, acquiring partners, or banking teams on disputes and investigations
  • Knowledge of 3DS, KYC, and basic fraud prevention principles
  • Experience with payment analytics, reporting, and case management tools (Jira, payment dashboards, etc.)
  • Understanding of card scheme rules (Visa/Mastercard) and chargeback KPIs (ratio, representment success rate)
  • Experience in a fintech, crypto, or high-risk payments environment
