Role: Founding, Software Engineer

Location: Amsterdam, NL Hybrid: 4 (office) & 1 (home)

Salary: 70,000 - 95,000 + 0.5-1% Equity + Benefits

We guide guests through our digital guest journey; online check-in/out, payments, upsells, digital keys, and multi-channel communications (email, WhatsApp, SMS). We’re growing fast all across Europe, and expanding our integrations with leading PMS and lock providers while rolling out new automation and AI features.

The Role:

You’ll be a part of our founding team, a founding engineer who will shape the product and engineering culture. Your focus will be on helping us build out our new product roadmap (unified inbox, AI hotel agents, self check-in Kiosks), stabilizing and scaling our platform, and unifying a set of powerful integrations into a cohesive experience.

What you’ll do:

• Stabilize and scale our Laravel platform and infrastructure: harden queues, caching, jobs, and background workers; improve performance and reliability.
• Own backend architecture: APIs, webhooks, migrations, performance, testing, observability, CI/CD.
• Build AI/agent workflows that automate guest comms and operations (routing, auto-replies, task triggers).
• Unify and extend integrations: standardize how we integrate with PMS, payments, and digital key providers to make new integrations faster to build and easier to maintain.
• Set engineering practices as we scale: pragmatic reviews, conventions, and testing that maintain speed and stability as the team grows.

What we’re looking for:

• Deep Laravel experience (3+ years): queues, caching, testing, REST APIs, event-driven systems, SQL, and performance.
• Ownership & autonomy: you take responsibility for outcomes, communicate trade-offs, and push work over the finish line.
• Experience or strong interest in LLMs/agents in production: you use AI in your workflow and have shipped, or want to ship, agentic automation.
• Full-stack mindset: comfortable building and reviewing frontend work; Vue experience is a plus; Flutter familiarity is a nice-to-have.
• Product sense and bias to ship: you enjoy talking to users, making trade-offs, and delivering value in a fast-moving startup.

Nice to have

• Startup / founding-team experience (very nice)
• SaaS experience; hospitality/CRM domain knowledge.
• Vue and/or Flutter experience
• AWS/DevOps familiarity (cloud, containers, CI/CD)
