  • Responsible for developing and supporting the Digital Transformation initiatives within the group.
  • Responsible for improving and maintaining the company's existing digital solutions such as Fleet Management Web Application, Life Cycle Costing tool, CRM, and SharePoint/Intranet, including maintenance and optimization of operational databases and other data sources.
  • The role is integral to the company achieving success in the eyes of our customers by developing and implementing ICT related solutions, ensuring that group is continuously improving internally and its service offering.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop other ICT solutions that will add value and compliment the company's product offerings.
  • Provide expert advice on software stack to be used for specific systems with respect to business strategy, suitability, and cost.
  • Able to read and maintain codebases of different languages and frameworks, including but not limited to Python, Django, Javascript, React, Bootstrap and Flutter.
  • Develop our data sources and/or data warehouse into an efficient user-friendly ecosystem of information to utilize within our business.
  • Know basic CRUD operations and best practices in full stack.
  • Develop and improve upon our web and mobile applications in front end and back end.
  • Publish and maintain web and mobile apps (web server, App Store, and Play Store)
  • Project manage ad-hoc external developers for short term projects.
  • Manage bugs / issues with our various systems, sources, and external suppliers.
  • Keep self-updated with technologies and information that are relevant to the field.
  • Ensure implementation of industry best-practises in development and maintenance of digital solutions.
  • Able to implement and enhance data communication using APIs, WebSocket, channels or other forms of data streaming.

Required:

  • Software Engineering or Technical qualifications as a minimum
  • Full-stack expertise in ReactJS and Django framework.
  • Strong experience in Frontend Development: (HTML, CSS, JavaScript/ReactJS) will be the primary language/framework for cross platform solutions.
  • Expertise in responsive design and development is required.
  • Expertise in Backend Development, (using Django/python, JavaScript).
  • Strong experience with database; Postgres, /mySQL, noSQL(MongoDB or FireStore)
  • Experience with both time series and geographic data types
  • Expertise in BloC architecture/state management.
  • Familiarity in creating, managing and development of APIs (REST)
  • Experience in basic CRUD operations using APIs or web sockets.
  • Experience in unit testing, automated testing, and test-driven development
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodology
  • Expertise in source code version and control using GitHub
  • Experience in management of services on cloud platforms, GCP is the primary
  • Proficiency in managing data sources / data warehouse / server environment is essential.
