Job Overview
The Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating and executing construction projects at Binghatti. This role involves overseeing all phases of the project lifecycle including initiation, design, execution and completion. The Project Manager ensures that the project is completed on time, within scope and within budget while maintaining high standards of quality, safety and compliance with regulatory requirements. This position requires strong leadership organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders effectively.
Key duties and Responsibilities
Project Planning & Coordination
- Develop detailed project plans including timelines, budgets, resource allocation and milestones.
- Coordinate with various stakeholders to ensure alignment on project objectives and deliverables.
- Establish project goals, objectives and performance criteria ensuring they are clear and measurable.
- Ensure effective communication across the project team and with external stakeholders.
Execution & Monitoring
- Oversee day to day operations of the project ensuring tasks are completed on time and according to specifications.
- Track project progress, identify potential delays or issues and implement corrective actions when necessary.
- Monitor and control project costs ensuring that expenditures remain within budget.
- Ensure the timely procurement of materials, equipment and subcontractors, coordinating logistics and delivery schedules.
Risk Management & Problem Solving
- Identify, assess and manage risks associated with the project, developing mitigation strategies to minimize their impact.
- Resolve any technical, logistical or contractual issues that arise during the project, maintaining momentum and quality.
- Address any concerns or conflicts that may arise among stakeholders ensuring effective resolution.
Quality Control & Safety Compliance
- Ensure all work complies with industry standards, building codes and health and safety regulations.
- Implement and enforce quality control procedures to ensure work meets or exceeds project specifications.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure the quality and safety of work.
- Monitor the health and safety practices on-site ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations.
Stakeholder Communication
- Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status, progress and any issues or risks.
- Manage expectations ensuring alignment with project scope and timelines.
- Prepare and present reports for senior management, outlining project progress, financial status and any issues or concerns.
Team Management & Leadership
- Manage and mentor project teams including engineers, technicians and subcontractors.
- Foster a collaborative and productive work environment, motivating team members and ensuring clear understanding of their roles and responsibilities.
- Conduct regular project meetings to review progress, resolve issues and ensure all team members are aligned on project goals.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain accurate and up to date project documentation including contracts, budgets, schedules and change orders
- Ensure all project reports including progress, cost and quality control reports, are delivered on time.
- Prepare final project reports, closeout documents and lessons learned for future reference.
Other Tasks and Accountabilities
- Perform additional tasks relevant to the role / area of expertise as requested by the management to be able to achieve the objectives/commitments.
Position Requirements
Work Experience
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in a similar role.
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering or a related field.
