Job Summary

We are seeking a Java Developer to support and enhance a core market data integration platform used across Capital Markets. The ideal candidate should have strong skills in Java and Spring Boot, experience with API development, and a good understanding of financial data processes.


Mandatory Skill-set

  • Must have minimum 4 years of experience in software development with a strong command of Java and Spring Boot;
  • Must have hands-on experience with RESTful API design;
  • Must have strong skills in Linux/Unix, including shell scripting;
  • Must have proficiency with SQL and database integration;
  • Experience in financial markets, including asset classes such as equities, bonds, derivatives, and Swaps;
  • Proficient in Git, GitLab CI/CD, Maven, and Jira for development and deployment;
  • Strong in Object Oriented Programming, SOLID principles, and testing;
  • Experienced with AWS (Docker, Kubernetes, S3, Redshift) and observability tools such as Open Telemetry, Elastic Search;
  • Excellent in debugging, code analysis, and reviews.


Desired Skill-set

  • Knowledge of Asset Control (Alveo) or similar market data integration systems;
  • Exposure to web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Angular;
  • Experience with MongoDB, Redis, Control-M, CFT, MQSeries.


Responsibilities

  • Lead technical design, architectural decisions, and translate business requirements into scalable solutions;
  • Develop, test, and maintain high-quality, standards-compliant code;
  • Provide Level 3 support, troubleshoot issues, and implement performance optimizations;
  • Analyze and resolve bug fixes and enhancement requests from users and stakeholders;
  • Ensure timely delivery of releases and coordinate deployments with cross-functional teams;
  • Support weekend production activities when required;
  • Automate manual tasks and streamline delivery workflows;
  • Upgrade infrastructure/tools and contribute to continuous process and quality improvements.
