  • From $127,641 - $144,946 (depending on experience) + 15.4% superannuation

The team

Information Technology Services delivers diverse IT facilities and support to ASIC, driving major technology projects in virtualisation, data analytics, mobility, and cloud to enhance operations. The Digital Applications team is responsible for delivering and supporting portals, integrations, custom applications and digital solutions.

The role

ASIC is seeking an experienced Application Developer to deliver and support OutSystems applications, translating business and technical requirements into high-quality digital solutions while providing ongoing BAU support and driving continuous improvement.

As An Application Developer Your Responsibilities Will Include

  • Provide systems analysis, technical recommendations, and input into business requirements and solution/UI designs for OutSystems applications.
  • Develop, unit‑test, and deploy OutSystems applications.
  • Perform application health checks, incident/problem resolution, and support release and change management.
  • Ensure delivered applications align with architectural designs and patterns.
  • Ensure applications meet WCAG and security compliance requirements.
  • Adhere to development, coding, privacy, and security standards.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, development best practices, and guidelines.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of applications, environments, and processes.

About You

In order to be considered for the role, you will have the following skills and experience:

  • 2+ years of OutSystems experience or 5+ years developing complex .NET web applications.
  • 2+ years working with front‑end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript frameworks such as React/Angular).
  • Experience with REST/JSON web services.
  • Experience with SQL queries and performance tuning.
  • Working knowledge of Agile practices and tools (TFS, GIT, JIRA).
  • Experience performing code reviews and ensuring code quality.
  • Experience with CI/CD, DevOps, continuous integration, and automated unit testing.
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly learn and master new technology stacks.
  • Ability to work independently with accountability for outcomes.
  • Tertiary qualification in IT, engineering, or a related field (desirable).
