Our Platform team is looking for a DevOps Engineer number two to ensure stable, secure, and scalable production environments. As a DevOps Engineer, you will maintain and continuously improve our cloud infrastructure and deployment practices, ensuring stable, secure, and scalable production environments. You will support and enhance CI/CD pipelines to enable smooth and reliable deployments, while actively participating in incident handling, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis to strengthen system resilience.

A key part of your role will be safeguarding database and live system reliability through secure access management and operational best practices. You will also contribute to documentation, system reviews, and ongoing improvement initiatives to help evolve our technical landscape. Occasionally, you will spend a few hours assisting with general office IT matters, such as resolving connectivity issues, setting up hardware, or coordinating with vendors. This is a small and infrequent part of the role.

You'll be working alongside a group of 15+ engineers distributed across Europe, and you’ll have the flexibility to work remotely from anywhere in Finland. 🇫🇮If you prefer a hybrid model, you can combine remote work with on-site collaboration at our lovely office in Espoo.

In this role, you will

• Own and continuously improve our AWS-based cloud infrastructure to ensure stability, scalability, and security
• Maintain and develop CI/CD pipelines to enable smooth, reliable, and low-risk deployments
• Manage containerized workloads and orchestration environments (ECS and/or DNS management)
• Monitor production systems and improve observability using tools such as Grafana and CloudWatch, including building a central logging system to enhance visibility and support application telemetry.
• Participate in incident response, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis and drive long-term reliability improvements
• Strengthen database and live system reliability through secure access management, operational best practices, and ensuring database servers are patched and running on supported versions.
• Identify infrastructure risks proactively and implement preventive measures
• Contribute to infrastructure documentation, system reviews, and operational standards
• Collaborate closely with engineering teams to improve deployment practices and platform resilience
• Occasionally support light office IT matters (connectivity, hardware setup, vendor coordination)
• Move fast and operate with a high level of trust, ownership, and technical judgment,
• Drive initiatives to reduce technical debt, including version upgrades of system components and modernization of legacy frameworks.

You'll feel at home if you

• Bring hands-on cloud experience, ideally from a scale-up or start-up environment
• Have hands-on experience with AWS services such as EC2, IAM, RDS, VPC, CloudWatch, and S3
• Have experience running containerized workloads and managing orchestration platforms such as AWS ECS and/or DNS management
• Are comfortable working with production databases and live systems, with a solid understanding of risks and best practices
• Bring an incident management mindset and are willing to participate in incident response and root cause analysis to improve long-term reliability
• Have experience maintaining and improving CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation
• Have experience building and maintaining observability for production systems using Grafana
