Role Overview

The Campus Project Controls Manager will lead all project controls activities for the project in Hamina. You will work closely with construction managers, commercial teams, and the client, providing strategic oversight, driving project performance, and ensuring that risks, variances, and issues are identified early and effectively mitigated.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and maintenance of detailed, fully resourced construction schedules for client baseline approval
  • Own project schedule control, ensuring accurate, timely updates and alignment with actual site progress
  • Track Earned Value (EV) and other project KPIs, providing senior management with insights into performance trends
  • Monitor workshop fabrication and site installation outputs, managing productivity of craft labour (spent vs earned hours)
  • Oversee the identification, assessment, and logging of project issues and changes through formal change control processes
  • Monitor original versus actual budgets, highlighting scope growth, cost variance, and corrective actions
  • Chair and actively contribute to internal and client-facing site meetings, providing expert input on schedule and performance
  • Lead the preparation, coordination, and issuance of weekly, monthly, and ad hoc project controls and construction reports
  • Provide strategic oversight of all project control systems, ensuring accurate records, reporting, and data integrity
  • Act as a key interface between planning, engineering, construction, and commercial teams, ensuring alignment and proactive decision-making
  • Mentor and guide junior project control staff, developing internal capability and promoting best practices across the project

Skills & Requirements

  • Relevant third-level qualification in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline
  • Minimum of 5–8 years’ post-qualification experience in project controls, ideally in a mechanical M&E contracting environment
  • Advanced experience using Primavera P6 for planning, scheduling, and resource management
  • Strong track record in project controls leadership, schedule management, Earned Value tracking, and cost control
  • Deep understanding of mechanical construction sequences, productivity, and site operations
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills
  • Proven ability to lead large teams, manage complex schedules, and make strategic project control decisions
  • Experience reporting to senior clients and internal executives on schedule, cost, and project risks
