Summary

We’re looking for a Mid/Senior QA Engineer to design and maintain manual and automated test cases, covering functional, integration, regression, and performance testing while ensuring quality across the full SDLC. You’ll collaborate with developers and product managers, join sprint ceremonies, contribute to technical decisions, and lead QA initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain manual and automated test cases
  • Perform functional, integration, regression, and performance testing
  • Collaborate with developers, product managers to clarify requirements
  • Participate in sprint planning, grooming, and retrospectives
  • Ensure product quality throughout the SDLC
  • Lead QA initiatives
  • Participate in architecture and technical decision discussions
  • Identify, document, and track defects in issue tracking systems


Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in software testing
  • Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies
  • Strong experience in manual and automated testing (web, APIs, Applications)
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
  • Understanding of REST APIs and ability to test them
  • Deep understanding of testing strategies and quality standards
  • Experience leading QA processes in complex systems
  • Experience in automated tests development using AI tools
  • Hands-on experience with Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress
  • Experience testing REST APIs using Postman or Swagger
  • Proficiency in Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, or Python
  • Experience with Git and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI)
  • Solid understanding of SQL and experience working with MySQL or PostgreSQL
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Proactive mindset with ownership of tasks
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines
  • Continuous learning mindset
  • Good knowledge of English and Latvian; knowledge of Russian would be nice to have
