To support this growth, they are establishing a new Cyber Security Specialist position in their Vilnius headquarters. Fjord Bank is looking for an experienced and hands-on specialist to strengthen their cybersecurity posture across cloud (AWS & Azure), applications, endpoints, and third-party ICT services.
This is a practical, technically involved role combining SecOps responsibilities, cloud security, incident management, and regulatory alignment within a regulated banking environment. The position reports to the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO).
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Support implementation and continuous improvement of security controls aligned with NIST CSF, CIS Controls, OWASP, and Zero Trust principles.
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security events and incidents (SIEM, XDR, AWS & Azure security services, perimeter security solutions).
- Work closely with IT and DevOps teams to embed security-by-design and secure configuration principles, including environments managed via Infrastructure-as-Code, and manage vulnerability scanning processes, risk assessments, and remediation follow-up across infrastructure and cloud environments.
- Support detection use-case improvement and ensure effective security monitoring coverage together with SOC partners.
- Participate in third-party ICT risk assessments and supplier security evaluations; maintain and update the ICT third-party register.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of security policies, procedures, and technical standards.
- Support penetration testing, resilience testing, and remediation tracking, including TLPT activities where applicable.
- Review access control, encryption, logging, and cloud security configurations.
- Contribute to business continuity and disaster recovery processes from a cybersecurity perspective.
- Participate in threat intelligence and information-sharing initiatives where applicable.
- Support security awareness and internal training initiatives.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Cybersecurity, IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
- At least 3–5 years of experience in cybersecurity or IT security roles.
- Practical understanding of incident response, SecOps processes, and vulnerability management.
- Hands-on experience with SIEM, endpoint protection, and cloud security (AWS and Azure).
- Understanding of Infrastructure-as-Code concepts (e.g., Terraform) and secure cloud configuration principles.
- Understanding of regulatory and compliance frameworks relevant to financial institutions (DORA, EBA, NIS2, GDPR); practical familiarity with DORA obligations is a strong advantage.
- Familiarity with security frameworks such as NIST CSF, CIS Controls, or ISO 27001.
- Ability to write clear, structured security documentation and translate security requirements into practical controls.
- Strong analytical thinking and risk-based decision-making skills.
- Proactive, structured, and detail-oriented approach.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Fluency in Lithuanian and English (verbal and written).
- Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, Security+, CEH, or equivalent are considered an advantage.
