We are currently supporting a fast-growing Luxembourg-based technology company in the recruitment of a Scientific Computing Specialist to strengthen its core engineering team.

Scientific Computing Specialist – Your Responsibilities :
Reporting directly to the founder and technical leadership, you will:
- Develop mathematical models for science and engineering applications, particularly using partial differential equations and numerical methods
- Design and implement high-performance code targeting CPU, GPU, and heterogeneous architectures
- Contribute to exascale-ready computing solutions
- Work on HPC, HPDA, and AI-related challenges in demanding environments
- Participate in national and European R&D initiatives
- Ensure robustness, performance, and scalability of computational solutions
- Contribute to architectural and technical decisions
- Provide technical guidance and elevate engineering standards within the team
This is a hands-on role requiring both deep technical expertise and the ability to bring structure and maturity to a growing team.
Scientific Computing Specialist – Your Profile :
- MSc or higher in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years of experience in High Performance Computing (HPC)
- Strong expertise in parallel programming (Julia, CUDA, OpenACC, OpenMP Offloading)
- Experience with CPU shared and distributed memory programming
- Solid understanding of HPC, HPDA, and AI ecosystems
- Experience in research-driven or startup environments
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple technical streams
