The Role

As a Senior React Frontend Developer, you will play a key role in shaping our web applications. You’ll work closely with a small, agile team to design, implement, and optimize features, with a strong emphasis on automated testing and quality assurance.

• Location: Barcelona, Spain (Hybrid – 8 days/month in-office)
• Contract: Permanent, End Client – Large Retail Company
• Experience: 3–5 years in modern web development

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain web applications using React and TypeScript with a focus on modern best practices (Hooks, Context).
• Write robust automated tests, especially End-to-End tests using Playwright, to ensure high-quality, stable, and secure applications.
• Contribute to all phases of the software development lifecycle, from design and implementation to deployment.
• Conduct code reviews and optimize existing code for usability, performance, and maintainability.
• Plan and implement new features, integrate APIs, and manage application state (e.g., Redux).
• Evaluate and introduce innovative technologies to improve our web development processes.
• Collaborate in an agile team (Scrum), fostering open communication and shared ownership of our products.

What We’re Looking For

• 3+ years of professional experience in modern web development, preferably with React and TypeScript.
• Proven experience with the React ecosystem, including state management (Redux).
• Strong knowledge of web technologies: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript ES6+.
• Hands-on experience with automated testing is essential, especially Playwright. Experience with Jest or React Testing Library is a plus.
• Familiarity with modern development tools: Git (Gitflow), npm/yarn, Webpack.
• Experience with agile methodologies (Scrum) and tools like Jira and Confluence.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Fluent in English for meetings and technical discussions.
