This is a hands-on DevOps leadership role in a robotics organisation operating real, business-critical systems across cloud and on-prem environments.


You’ll own the DevOps architecture end to end not just keeping things running, but shaping how platforms evolve, scale, and support fast, reliable delivery. This role is for someone who stays calm under pressure, takes responsibility when things break, and cares deeply about building systems that last.


What You’ll Do:

  • Own and evolve DevOps architecture across cloud, on-prem, and Kubernetes environments
  • Act as the technical authority for CI/CD, platform operations, and infrastructure standards
  • Translate business and product needs into clear technical priorities and roadmaps
  • Lead incident response for critical production systems and drive meaningful post-mortems
  • Identify architectural risks, inefficiencies, and technical debt — and fix them
  • Mentor engineers and raise standards around ownership, reliability, and automation
  • Work closely with engineering and product teams to enable fast, safe delivery


What We’re Looking For:

• 10+ years of experience in DevOps / Platform Engineering

• Proven experience as a tech lead, architect, or principal-level engineer


Strong expertise in:

  • Hybrid environments (cloud + on-prem)
  • Kubernetes (AKS)
  • Infrastructure as Code (Terraform / OpenTofu)
  • Deep understanding of CI/CD architectures and release strategies
  • Experience owning and operating business-critical production systems
  • Comfortable leading incidents, root-cause analysis, and long-term improvements
  • Strong communicator who can bridge technical and non-technical contexts
  • Able to balance short-term operational needs with long-term platform vision


Nice to have

  • Hardware-in-the-loop testing or complex system integration
  • Exposure to security, compliance, or regulated environments
