Key responsibilities

Responsibilities vary according to organization but may include a combination of:

  • Project Management and Service Delivery Management
  • Familiar with IT Service Management and ITIL preferable in government
  • Excellent client management, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Familiar with Singapore government projects and environment and obtain SG government security clearance to work on SG government projects.
  • CITPM certification is preferred.
  • Familiar with both waterfall and agile project methodologies is preferred.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Delivering the project against the agreed Project Charter and to client satisfaction
  • Managing the project budget as stated in the approved Project Charter
  • Forecasting Estimates to Complete ETC Estimate at Completion EAC as well as the estimated completion date of the project
  • Managing the project risks issues and dependencies and corresponding action plans
  • Working together with the Offshore Project Manager where applicable to release the project obligations including all deliverable and the project targets and in accordance with the One Team model.
  • Producing the staffing plan specifying resources required and approving proposed resources.
  • Motivating team members on a continuous basis
  • Assessing team members performance against their objectives on a regular basis
  • Developing team members skills and empowerment
  • Providing team members with the support they need
  • Identification and negotiation of change requests
  • Ensuring overall delivery and quality of the project work
  • Managing any third parties involved in the delivery of the project.


Qualifications

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent.
  • Project manager certification
  • PMP or PRINCE2 certification is desirable.


Relevant experience

  • Proven experience of effectively managing large-scale projects from brief through to delivery
  • Adept at building effective client relationships and working with several stakeholders to deliver targets.
  • Preferred knowledge areas in Government Commercial Cloud and Government Agencies' Application Maintenance Services experiences
  • Experienced Project Managers who have worked e2e through all the phases including Build and Run phases.
  • Experienced in a range of project management software including PRINCE2, Agile and Waterfall
  • Strong communication with excellent presentation, report writing and data analysis capabilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure, change direction when required and work on a range of client projects at the same time.
  • Experience of identifying business opportunities, building client relationships, and seeking new business
