About the Role
We are looking for a highly skilled Network Engineer with Strong (LAN Experience) to join a dynamic and well-established Swiss company based in Bern. This role is ideal for a hands-on network professional who thrives in complex, large-scale environments and enjoys delivering high-quality infrastructure solutions to customers.
You will design, implement, and maintain robust campus LAN environments — not just for small offices, but for entire buildings, multi-site campuses, and even municipality-scale infrastructures.

What You Will Work On
This role goes far beyond supporting small office networks. Typical environments may include:
• Multi-floor corporate headquarters (15+ floors)
• Large campuses with 20–100+ users per building
• Public sector environments
• Schools, police stations, and municipal buildings
• Healthcare practices
• Stadium infrastructures (networking for both operational and public areas)
• Datacentres, server rooms, and secure authority networks
You will take ownership of complex LAN infrastructures at scale.
Technical Expertise Required
🔹 Cisco Switching
• Design, implementation, and maintenance of Cisco-based campus switching environments
• Strong understanding of VLANs, routing, redundancy, and high availability
🔹 Cisco ISE / NAC
• Experience with Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE)
• Solid understanding of Network Access Control (NAC) concepts
🔹 Meraki Wireless
• Configuration, deployment, and management of Meraki access points
• Delivering secure, reliable, high-performance WLAN environments
🔹 Security (nice to haves)
• Knowledge of FortiGate firewall configuration and management
• Understanding of firewall policies and network security concepts
• Security awareness as it directly impacts LAN architecture
🔹 Certifications
• CCNA or CCNP required (Nice to haves)
• Additional security certifications are a plus
Main Responsibilities
• Install, configure, and maintain campus LAN environments at customer sites
• Support the planning and implementation of network projects
• Provide technical consulting to customers
• Troubleshoot and perform root cause analysis for complex network issues
• Ensure network security best practices are followed
• Document configurations and produce reports for stakeholders
Your Profile
• Strong hands-on LAN engineering experience
• Comfortable working in large, structured environments
• Strong German skills (workshops, meetings, documentation)
• Customer-oriented mindset
• Structured, reliable, and solution-focused
