Job Overview
As a Junior Data Scientist at Paradox Interactive, you will be part of our dynamic Data & Analytics team, contributing to data-driven decision-making processes that enhance player experiences and business strategies. You will work closely with game development, marketing, and product teams to analyze player behavior, develop predictive models, and provide actionable insights.
Key Responsibilities
Data Analysis & Visualization:
- Analyze player behavior and game performance metrics.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports using tools like Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
- Present findings and insights to stakeholders in a clear and compelling manner.
- Develop and deploy basic predictive models (e.g., churn prediction, player segmentation).
- Conduct A/B testing and other statistical analyses to evaluate the impact of game changes.
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including game developers, product managers, and marketing.
- Communicate complex data concepts and analyses to non-technical stakeholders.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent, e.g., higher vocational education diploma) in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
- 0-2 years of experience in data science, analytics, or a related role (internships and academic projects count).
- Programming Languages: Proficiency in Python.
- Data Manipulation: Experience with SQL for querying databases.
- Data Visualization: Familiarity with tools like Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
- Statistical Analysis: Knowledge of statistical methods and their application.
- Machine Learning: Basic understanding of machine learning concepts and libraries (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow).
- Analytical Thinking: Strong problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Team Player: Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
- Curiosity & Passion: A genuine interest in gaming and a desire to learn and grow within the industry.
- Experience with big data technologies
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Azure).
- Understanding of data governance and best practices for data privacy and security.
- Previous experience or a strong interest in the gaming industry.
