About Us

Chargitect is an ambitious, pre-seed funded startup building the platform that orchestrates charging and energy management for heavy-duty electric vehicle fleets. We help fleet operators balance routes and energy demands, minimize downtime, and maximize cost efficiency. Our team is based in Bergen, and we're moving fast.

About The Role

We're looking for a Software Engineer to help shape our core product from the ground up. You'll have real influence over what we build, how we build it, and why it matters. You'll work closely with the team to make architectural decisions, ship features, and iterate fast. This is an on-site role at our office in Bergen.

Key Responsibilities

We mainly work with Python, Go, TypeScript, PostgreSQL, TimescaleDB and Azure — building the intelligence layer that orchestrates energy flow for heavy-duty electric fleets. Think charge scheduling, grid balancing, and route-aware energy optimization, all working together in real time.

As Part Of Chargitect, Your Main Responsibilities Will Be

  • Design and implement software solutions with a focus on performance and scalability.
  • Contribute to architecture decisions that shape the direction of the platform.
  • Collaborate across the team to ship features end-to-end.
  • Participate in code reviews, testing, and CI/CD.
  • Work with integrations between internal systems and external partners.

About You

  • You're a builder who thrives with autonomy. You take ownership, figure things out, and deliver.
  • You have background in backend development: APIs, databases, and writing code that holds up under pressure.
  • You're comfortable with using cloud infrastructure.
  • You're AI-native. Tools like Claude Code, Cursor, and similar AI-assisted development tools aren't novelties to you — they're how you work.
  • You're willing to learn fast and go deep on new domains like energy systems, IoT, and fleet operations.

You don't need years of experience. You need to be sharp, curious, and ready to build something that matters.

What We Offer

  • An on-site role at our office in Bergen
  • No unnecessary meetings or bureaucracy — just focused, meaningful work
  • Equity

If you're passionate about building data-driven solutions that accelerate the transition to electric road transport, we'd love to hear from you. Join Chargitect and be part of a team dedicated to a zero-emission future.
