We’re looking for a Software Engineer to join the Procurement & Master Data team in Oda!

We started by building Norway’s leading online grocery store, and together with Mathem in Sweden, we’re building one of the most effective retail systems in the world, delivering groceries to thousands of Scandinavian doorsteps every week.

We’re looking for a Software Engineer to join the Procurement & Master Data team.

What this team does

The Procurement & Master Data team builds the systems that ensure Oda has the right products available at the right time, in the right quantities, with correct data behind them.

We work on core operational systems, including:

• Product availability — ensuring customers can order the products they expect
• Purchasing systems — building and improving how Oda creates and manages purchase orders with suppliers
• Spoilage prevention — reducing waste through expiration handling, deviations, and discount flows
• Product & supplier data — maintaining accurate, structured data that powers forecasting, pricing, and replenishment

These systems are critical to how Oda runs every day — from warehouse operations to customer delivery.

The role

We’re looking for a Software Engineer with a strong backend focus who wants to build reliable systems with direct operational impact.

The role is primarily backend-oriented, with some frontend work on internal tools used daily by procurement and operations teams.

You’ll work in a small cross-functional team together with engineers, product, and procurement specialists to design and build systems that improve purchasing flows, data quality, and operational efficiency.

What you’ll be doing

You will:

• Build backend services supporting product availability and purchasing workflows
• Develop integrations with external systems such as RELEX Solutions (forecasting and replenishment)
• Build and improve internal tools used by procurement, commercial and operations teams
• Design and maintain data models for products, suppliers, and procurement policies
• Improve reliability, correctness, and observability in production systems
• Collaborate closely with product, procurement, and analytics to turn operational needs into robust solutions

What you’ll need

• 2+ years of experience building backend systems professionally
• Strong experience with Python
• Interest in building reliable systems that support real-world operational processes
• Initiative, ownership, and the ability to deliver end-to-end
• Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively in English
