About the role:

The Backend Developer is responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of scalable, high-performance backend systems. This role requires strong proficiency in programming languages such as Node.js and Java, along with solid expertise in database management and cloud-based technologies.

The ideal candidate demonstrates proven experience in API development, works effectively in collaborative team environments, and consistently delivers high-quality, maintainable code within established timelines.

Key duties:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable APIs using technologies such as PHP, Java, Node.js, and related frameworks.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams while also demonstrating the ability to work independently in alignment with established development processes.
• Ensure timely delivery of high-quality solutions that meet project requirements and technical standards.
• Perform other duties and technical tasks as assigned by the Line Manager.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on software development experience.
• Strong proficiency in PHP (Laravel), Java, Node.js, and frameworks such as J2EE and Spring Boot.
• Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and best practices.
• Experience in developing reusable and maintainable Java libraries.
• Good knowledge of MVC architecture, JDBC, and RESTful API design.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
