|About the Role
The Senior Associate – System & Application Admin is responsible for the administration, maintenance, and support of the organization's core system and application infrastructure. This includes managing M365 E5 components, Azure Cloud resources, and the Proxmox Hypervisor environment, ensuring their optimal performance, availability, and security. The role focuses on day-to-day operations, troubleshooting, and contributing to system enhancements.
|What You’ll Do
- Administer and manage all components of the M365 E5 suite, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams, Intune, Defender for Endpoint/Identity/Cloud Apps, and Azure AD.
- Manage Azure Cloud resources, including VMs, VNETs, storage accounts, Azure AD, Azure Monitor, and Azure Backup.
- Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Proxmox Hypervisor instances and virtual machines (VMs).
- Perform user account management, access control, and group policy administration across M365 and Azure AD.
- Monitor system performance, conduct routine health checks, and ensure proactive patching and updates for all managed systems.
- Implement and manage backup and disaster recovery strategies for critical systems and data.
- Diagnose and resolve system and application issues, providing technical support to end-users and escalating complex problems as necessary.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for system configurations, operational procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
- Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration and support of systems and applications.
- Participate in security audits and implement remediation actions to address identified vulnerabilities.
|Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Microsoft Certified professional (e.g., Azure Administrator Associate, M365 Administrator Expert) is highly preferred.
Experience:
A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in system administration, application support, or a similar IT role.
Skills:
- In-depth administration experience with Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams, and Intune.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Defender suite (Defender for Endpoint, Defender for Identity, Defender for Cloud Apps).
- Strong understanding of Azure AD for identity and access management.
- Hands-on experience managing Azure VMs, VNETs, storage accounts, and other core Azure services.
- Familiarity with Azure AD integration and management.
- Experience with Azure Monitor and Azure Backup.
- Experience with Proxmox Hypervisor (installation, configuration, VM management, storage management, networking).
- Strong administration skills for Windows Server OSs (e.g., AD, DNS, DHCP).
- Familiarity with Linux OSs and command-line interface is a significant plus.
- Fundamental understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP.
- Basic scripting skills (e.g., PowerShell) for automation of routine tasks.
