The Role
As a Junior Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting the BI function by collecting, analysing and interpreting data to inform business decisions. Working closely with senior analysts and cross-functional stakeholders, you will convert raw data into actionable insights, manage dashboards and reports, and uphold the accuracy and integrity of business data.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop reports and dashboards that translate complex datasets into clear, business-focused insights aligned with organisational objectives.
- Maintain and enhance dashboards and recurring reports, ensuring the consistency and accuracy of key performance indicators such as website traffic, GMV and inventory levels.
- Develop and manage data pipelines by integrating multiple data sources, including web analytics, CRM, inventory and marketing platforms, to create a reliable and unified data ecosystem.
- Deliver ad hoc analysis to cross-functional teams including Merchandising, Planning and Leadership, providing insights on bestsellers, underperforming products, returns and category performance.
- Write, optimise and review SQL queries, conduct data validation checks and resolve reporting discrepancies to maintain data integrity.
- Analyse datasets to uncover trends, patterns and anomalies that support both strategic and operational decision-making.
- Produce compelling visualisations and presentations tailored to senior leadership and operational teams.
- Improve reporting efficiency through automation, scheduling and continuous process optimisation.
- Support data governance initiatives by managing user permissions, maintaining dashboard architecture and ensuring compliance with internal data security standards.
Experience & Skills
- 3–5 years’ experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics or a related discipline.
- Strong proficiency in SQL (BigQuery preferred), Excel or Google Sheets, and Tableau or comparable BI tools.
- Working knowledge of Python or another programming language for data transformation and automation.
- Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform tools and related technologies.
- Exceptional attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate insights clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience within an e-commerce or fashion retail environment.
- Exposure to AI-driven automation projects and emerging analytics technologies.
- Understanding of statistical analysis techniques and A/B testing methodologies.
