Senior Android Developer:

On behalf of our Banking client, Procom is searching for a Senior Android Developer for a 7-month role. This position is a hybrid position with 2 days onsite at our client’s Toronto office.

Senior Android Developer - Job Description:

The project focuses on mobile enhancements for bank's mobile banking solutions, aiming to deliver top-notch user experiences across various platforms. As a Senior Android Developer, you will be responsible for designing and delivering solutions that enhance the mobile banking platform.

Senior Android Developer - Responsibilities:

• Serve as the primary contact for technical experts, project teams, and business partners.

• Work independently as the lead developer and mentor team members.

• Ensure accountability for solution design and deliverables.

• Provide effort estimates for new projects alongside architects and managers.

• Lead the creation of end-to-end solutions and coordinate with Solution Architects.

• Conduct code reviews to ensure quality and compliance with standards.

• Provide technical support for escalated incidents and outages.

Senior Android Developer - Mandatory Skills:

• 7+ years of experience in mobile development and 5+ years with Kotlin on Android.

• Hands-on experience with Jetpack Compose libraries.

• Proficiency with development tools such as Android Studio, Gradle, Emulator.

• Experience with software design patterns like MVC, MVP, and MVVM.

• Experience with automated testing via JUnit and frameworks like Robolectric and Espresso.

Senior Android Developer – Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Knowledge of analytics tools such as Dynatrace, SonarQube, Crashlytics.

• Experience in leading or mentoring technical team members.

• Experience working with distributed teams.

• Experience in the financial services industry.

Senior Android Developer – Assignment Length:

This is a 7-month contract position with the possibility of extension based on business needs and performance.
