Job Summary – Java Spring Developer (Capital One)
- 11+ years of hands-on Java development experience.
- Strong expertise in Spring / Spring Boot frameworks.
- Proven experience designing, developing, and maintaining scalable, high-performance backend applications.
- In-depth knowledge of microservices architecture and RESTful API development.
- Extensive experience with AWS cloud services, especially ECS, Fargate, S3, and DynamoDB.
- Proficient in containerization using Docker; deployment in cloud environments.
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to implement and manage CI/CD pipelines and automate deployments.
- Experience monitoring and troubleshooting application performance using tools like Splunk and New Relic.
- Participate in code reviews, unit testing, and ensure code quality and standards.
- Work collaboratively in Agile/Scrum teams; contribute to sprint planning, estimation, and delivery.
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform/CloudFormation) is a plus.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes and security best practices in cloud-native applications is preferred.
- Prior experience at Capital One is required.
- Local candidates to Richmond, VA preferred; hybrid work arrangement.
