Job Title: Software Development Engineer (Golang)

Job Summary

STAFFXPERT LLC is seeking a Software Development Engineer (Golang) on behalf of our client in McLean, VA.

This role focuses on designing and building scalable, secure, cloud-native backend services with a strong emphasis on Go (Golang). The ideal candidate is a hands-on engineer who thrives in high-impact environments, enjoys solving complex problems, and is passionate about building reliable systems that integrate modern cloud, DevOps, and AI-driven development practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services primarily using Go (Golang)
• Build and support RESTful APIs and microservices in cloud environments
• Architect scalable, high-performance, and secure applications
• Deploy and operate services in AWS production environments
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product, design, and engineering teams
• Integrate applications with relational and NoSQL databases
• Implement CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and monitoring
• Apply security best practices including authentication and authorization
• Leverage AI development tools to enhance productivity and code quality
• Communicate technical solutions and trade-offs effectively

Required Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with Go (Golang)
• 3+ years of experience developing backend services or REST APIs
• Experience building and deploying applications in AWS
• Experience with microservices or distributed architectures
• Proficiency with SQL and/or NoSQL databases
• Experience with CI/CD and modern DevOps practices
• Knowledge of secure coding and application security principles
• Experience using AI tools to support software development

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Java, Node.js, or C#
• Familiarity with serverless architectures
• Experience with automated testing frameworks
• Exposure to AI-driven or intelligent platforms
• Cloud certifications or advanced technical education
