Job description


Role Overview:


We are seeking a dynamic AWS DevOps leader to drive cloud engineering initiatives, architect scalable AWS solutions, and enhance operational excellence. This role requires deep expertise in AWS services, CI/CD automation, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), containerization, and team leadership. The Manager / Associate Director will mentor engineers, oversee DevOps adoption, and ensure delivery of high-quality, secure, and compliant cloud solutions.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of CI/CD pipelines using AWS CodePipeline, CodeBuild, CodeDeploy, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and GitLab CI/CD.
  • Architect and manage AWS infrastructure via IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible) and AWS Landing Zones.
  • Oversee deployment of microservices in Kubernetes (Amazon EKS) including Helm chart management.
  • Drive adoption of AWS-native services: Lambda, Step Functions, RDS, DynamoDB, API Gateway, S3, CloudFront, IAM.
  • Implement monitoring and observability frameworks using CloudWatch, Datadog, Dynatrace, Splunk, etc.
  • Define and enforce branching strategies aligned with Agile release cycles and enterprise governance.
  • Mentor and guide DevOps engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Ensure compliance with AWS security best practices and governance standards.
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and drive adoption where relevant.



Required Skills & Experience:



  • 5-12 years in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or related leadership roles.
  • Minimum 3 years hands-on experience with AWS DevOps tools and AWS cloud services.
  • Strong expertise in CI/CD tools, Git, and scripting (Bash, PowerShell, YAML/JSON).
  • Hands-on experience with IaC: Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible.
  • Proficient in containerization and orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes (EKS), Helm.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and enterprise delivery models.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.



Preferred Qualifications:



  • AWS certifications:
  • AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional
  • AWS Certified SysOps Administrator – Associate
  • Exposure to cloud security & compliance frameworks (CIS, NIST, ISO).
  • Experience managing large-scale cloud migration or transformation projects.
