Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced and servant-minded Scrum Master to support one or more agile teams within our Banking AI Agile Release Train (ART). You will play a critical role in enabling high-performing teams to deliver innovative, responsible AI solutions for the banking sector. This role requires a deep understanding of SAFe, Agile principles, and the unique challenges of AI product development.

Key Responsibilities

Team Facilitation & Agile Coaching

  • Facilitate Planning Increment (PI) events, and all Scrum ceremonies (Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Reviews, Retrospectives).
  • Coach the team on Agile best practices, Lean thinking, and SAFe principles.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, psychological safety, and team empowerment.

Delivery & Execution Support

  • Remove impediments and shield the team from external distractions.
  • Ensure sprint goals are met and aligned with ART-level PI Objectives.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners and Product Managers to maintain a healthy backlog.

SAFe & ART Alignment

  • Coordinate with other Scrum Masters and the Release Train Engineer to ensure cross-team alignment.
  • Support the team in meeting ART-level commitments and improving flow metrics.

AI-Specific Agile Practices

  • Help teams navigate the complexities of AI development, including experimentation, model training, and ethical review cycles.
  • Encourage iterative delivery of AI features with measurable business value.
  • Promote responsible AI practices, including transparency, fairness, and explainability.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years of experience as a Scrum Master in a software development environment.
  • 2+ years working in a SAFe environment, ideally within an Agile Release Train.
  • Experience supporting teams building AI/ML or data-driven products.
  • Strong facilitation, coaching, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Familiarity with Agile metrics (velocity, cycle time, team health) and tools (Craft, Jira, Confluence, Miro.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certified SAFe Scrum Master (SSM) or SAFe Advanced Scrum Master (SASM).
  • Background in data science, AI/ML, or software engineering is a plus.
  • Experience in regulated industries such as banking or fintech.
  • Understanding of MLOps, model governance, and AI lifecycle management.
