Job Title: Full-Stack Java Software Engineer

Location: London – Hybrid

Day Rate: £600 per day – Inside IR35

Clearance: SC Clearance required

The Role:

We are seeking high-calibre Full-Stack Java Software Engineers to join a growing delivery team supporting UK clients. This is an opportunity to work on complex, mission-critical systems within secure environments, contributing to innovative solutions that address some of the most challenging problems in the public sector.

You will be part of a collaborative, multi-disciplinary enterprise delivery team, taking a hands-on role in designing and building robust, scalable, and secure software solutions. The role requires not only strong coding expertise but also a solid understanding of industry best practice, engineering standards, and agile delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop and maintain full-stack Java-based applications within secure environments.
  • Deliver high-quality, scalable and maintainable solutions aligned to industry best practice.
  • Contribute to solution design, ensuring non-functional requirements (performance, security, scalability, resilience) are met.
  • Work effectively within agile delivery teams, supporting continuous improvement and engineering excellence.
  • Build and maintain strong CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes.
  • Collaborate with architects, DevOps engineers, and cross-functional specialists to deliver balanced, high-quality enterprise solutions.
  • Support integration with APIs, messaging platforms, databases, and cloud services.

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Strong commercial experience as a full-stack Java Software Engineer within enterprise environments.
  • Proven experience delivering secure, scalable solutions in agile teams.
  • Experience working with modern DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines and containerisation.
  • Strong understanding of API integration and microservices architectures.
  • Experience working within secure or government-regulated environments.

Security Requirements:

  • Active SC clearance preferred.
