Job Description

We are looking for a Backend Engineer to design, develop, and optimize low-latency, high-throughput backend systems that power Experian Marketing Services’ ad delivery, analytics, and optimization platforms.

You will work on highly scalable, real-time distributed systems that support business growth and continuous product innovation.

🛠️ Your key responsibilities

  • Design and implement low-latency, high-throughput backend services using Golang and distributed systems principles, following established architectural standards and best practices.
  • Analyze and enhance existing systems by optimizing algorithms, data structures, and infrastructure configurations to improve scalability, efficiency, and resilience.
  • Participate in architectural discussions, define system specifications, and contribute to engineering best practices to ensure consistent, maintainable, and future-proof solutions.
  • Collaborate closely with DevOps and platform engineering teams to enable reliable deployment, orchestration, and monitoring using cloud-native and Infrastructure as Code practices.
  • Mentor junior engineers through code reviews, technical guidance, and knowledge sharing, promoting strong code stewardship and testing culture.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system-related issues promptly using structured debugging and root cause analysis techniques.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of system design, APIs, and algorithms, and participate in release processes according to established standards.

Qualifications

🎯 What we expect from you

  • Strong backend development experience with Golang (or Rust).
  • Experience building distributed, low-latency, high-throughput systems.
  • Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.
  • Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
  • Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, or similar).
  • Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, as well as caching technologies.
  • Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks.
  • Strong knowledge of Git version control.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and performance optimization skills.
  • Clear and effective technical communication and documentation.
  • Advanced English.
  • Availability to work hybrid in São Carlos/SP.

⭐ Nice to have

  • Experience in AdTech or real-time advertising environments.
